Why My Body Asked for an Energetic Gut Reset
Clear your gut, calm your mind, and feel at home in your body again
Welcome to The Bloom Collective
If you’ve been here for a while you know this community cares deeply about what our bodies really need. We talk about food allergies, asthma, sensitivities, and how to build a healing lifestyle. No restriction or perfection, just alignment and listening.
We believe true wellness is collective. It is about tending to your mind, body, and soul as one while also showing up in community. When you nourish these parts of yourself together, you build a more grounded, resilient way of living that extends beyond the plate or the mat and into every part of your life. That is what this community is all about.
I’m practicing this reset myself and wanted to share it with you all. It includes anti-inflammatory meals, mindful movement, and simple rituals to help you connect to your own energy in a gentle, sustainable way. Whether you follow along, adapt it, or use it as a guide to create your own version, this is your invitation to lean in.
Why Now
I’ve been sensing a seasonal shift, like my body wanted to shed what it’s been holding before summer. There’s also been this collective heaviness in the air. Instead of pushing through like I used to, I paused and asked what I truly needed. This reset was the answer.
When it comes to these shifts, the gut often shows us the way first. Our digestion can be one of the clearest mirrors for how we are processing life physically, emotionally, and energetically. That’s why this reset matters so much. It isn’t just about food or cutting things out, it’s about building trust with your gut again, tuning in to what supports you, and releasing what no longer does. When our gut feels safe and supported, the rest of us can follow.

This reset feels aligned for me right now and I’m sharing it in case it sparks something in you too. And as always feel free to make it your own! Let it evolve with experience, intuition, and time. The more we listen, the more we learn.
Signs You Might Need This
You feel puffy or bloated even when eating clean
You react to foods you used to tolerate (this is how it’s been for milk and I lately 😭)
You’re dealing with mood swings, low energy, or brain fog
You hold emotional tension in your belly
You’re craving grounding, rhythm, or a reset that isn’t extreme
Movement I’m Focusing On 🛼🫧
Currently, I’m following a 3-2-1 rhythm that feels really good in my body:
3 days of strength training
2 days of mat Pilates
1 rest day or light walk (this is important🚨)
Mat Pilates have been especiallyyyy supportive. With my Virgo sun and Taurus moon, my body thrives on structure and grounding movement that calms instead of overwhelms 🌿. Pilates gives me strength, alignment and stability without intensity or inflammation. It’s low impact but deeply effective. And my body responds sooo well to it!
I typically like to aim for around 7,000 steps a day, usually a morning walk with Bagel and a 15 to 20 minute stroll in the evening. It keeps me grounded, helps clear any emotional buildup from the day, and gets me out of my head. I will also mention, my anxiety has gotten so much better — and I mean SO much better. Before all of this, I used to live in constant fight or flight. Everything felt heightened, urgent, like I couldn’t catch a break or fully exhale. But now, my nervous system is finally learning how to regulate. I’m not perfect, but I’ve built habits that actually support me. I understand my responses better, and because of that, fewer things have the same grip on me that they once did. It feels like a softness I didn’t know I needed.
If you’re in that place too, I wrote a post on tools that helped me support my nervous system, and another on how I approached holistic burnout recovery. Both go deeper into the practices that helped me shift out of survival mode (I highly recommend this).
It’s also important to share that I’m also someone that likes to track everything with my Oura Ring and I’ll be honest, I love wearables, but I neeeed them to be low profile AND match my style. I used to wear an Apple Watch and while it was great for workouts, it felt like a lot to have on all the time. One fun fact about me is I tend to get claustrophobic if I wear jewelry for too long, especially while sleeping. The Oura ring has been the perfect middle ground because it’s light enough that I barely notice it and I can actually sleep with it on, which feels like a huge win.
The Oura Ring can track things like sleep, cycles, steps, and recovery, but beyond the numbers, it can help you tune into what truly feels good in your own body. You might start noticing how certain foods or habits impact your energy, or how your sleep shifts depending on what you did earlier in the day or even what you ate before bed. It can be a supportive tool for learning how to care for yourself in a more intuitive, balanced way without feeling obsessive, and I couldn’t recommend it more.
If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s the power of checking in with yourself. Taking a moment for a simple body scan, asking how you feel, and truly listening can help you figure out what kind of movement, food, or support you need that day. It might not feel perfect every time, but it builds a relationship with your body instead of just pushing through. When you pause to tune in, you start to notice how everything is connected: mind, body, and soul. Your energy, thoughts, and physical well-being work together, and bringing awareness to that can help you make more supportive, balanced choices. Wellness is so much more than what you eat or how you move; it is about nurturing your energy and showing up for yourself on every level.
And while we often hear that stress is something to reduce or avoid, certain kinds of stress can actually help us grow. The Japanese concept of Misogi speaks to this beautifully. Traditionally, Misogi was a Shinto ritual of purification, like standing under icy waterfalls, but today it has come to mean taking on one big, challenging thing each year, something that feels nearly impossible, to push your limits and expand what you believe is possible.
This has been such a big topic in our house lately. For us, that “one hard thing” is going to be running the half marathon at Disney next year. It started after a conversation with my best friend Kaitlin, who encouraged me to go after a bigger running goal. Josh was excited about the idea too, and we decided doing it together would make it even more meaningful.
In a few months, Kaitlin is driving across the country to stay with us for a few weeks, and we are planning to get some training runs in together. It feels exciting and a little intimidating, which is exactly why it feels like the perfect Misogi! We hope it supports us physically, mentally, and energetically while also building deeper community and connection.
If you want to follow along, or even train with us in spirit, I shared more about it here. We’d love to have you join the journey. 🙌🏼
Good stress is good stress. It helps us grow, get stronger, and adapt. The key is learning the difference and not living in the kind that wears you down.

Energy Practices to Support the Reset
Akashic Prompt: What am I holding in my gut that I’m ready to release?
Reiki Mantra: I am safe to digest my life and let go of protection
Visualization: See your future self…think clear, light, fully at home in her body
Journaling Prompt: What weight am I ready to release — physically and emotionally?
Optional Supplements
Always check with your body and needs:
Magnesium glycinate before bed
L-glutamine in the morning for gut lining support
Digestive enzymes before heavier meals if needed
Why Lowering Cortisol Matters
Low-intensity movement has been shown to reduce cortisol even more than rest
Pilates and walking help activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest)
These types of movement lower inflammation and regulate energy better than high intensity workouts
These science-backed shifts match what I’ve felt intuitively — less cortisol means better digestion, fewer cravings, lighter mood, and way more clarity.
Ready to Go Deeper?
If this stirred something in you, I offer one-on-one sessions to support your healing on both an energetic and physical level. We can explore what’s going on in your gut, your energy field, or your emotional body, and help you release what no longer needs to be there.
If you’re unsure where to start, I also offer a free 15-minute clarity call to see what kind of support would feel best for you. You can book a session or clarity call here, or send me a DM if that feels easier. I’m here for it.
As always, please listen to your body and consult with a licensed healthcare provider when needed. Energy work can be a supportive complement but is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
A Moment Before You Begin
