The Perfect Ski Trip Feast That’s Easy to Make and Even Easier to Clean Up
The Perfect Group Trip Feast That’s Easy to Make and Even Easier to Clean Up
Every great group trip needs that one meal tradition that brings everyone together. For us, that’s Taco Table Night. The ultimate family style meal that is highly customizable, incredibly fun, and ridiculously easy to clean up. Whether you have vegans, meat lovers, picky eaters, or someone who insists on recreating Taco Bell at home, this setup has something for everyone.
After a long day on the slopes, there is nothing better than gathering around a table covered in tacos and loading up your plate exactly how you want. No fuss, no plates, just good food, good people, and a guaranteed food coma at the end.
What is a Taco Table?
Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like, a giant family style taco spread laid out directly on the table. No serving dishes, no extra plates, and minimal cleanup, thanks to one game changing trick: lining the entire table with aluminum foil before piling on the taco ingredients.
How to Set It Up Like a Pro
• Roll out aluminum foil across the entire table or counter. Make sure it’s long enough to cover the surface and curve under the edges so it stays put while everyone’s eating.
• Overlap the foil by a couple of inches instead of laying them side by side. This makes cleanup extra easy because when you’re done, you can just roll it all up in one go.
• Lay down a base of tortilla chips instead of tortillas. We love starting with a crunchy layer of Tostitos Scoops, then adding all the toppings on top. Think of it as a next level taco meets nacho experience.
• Toppings go in the center of the table, buffet style, so people can grab what they want and build their masterpiece.
That’s it. No plates, minimal dishes, and maximum taco enjoyment. Simple, fun, and the ultimate way to bring everyone together around the table.

Why We Love Taco Table Night
Besides the fact that it feeds a crowd with zero stress, Taco Table is the most customizable meal you can make. Everyone builds their own plate, meaning you can have multiple types of tacos happening at the same time without having to cook five different meals.
• For the Meat Lovers: Load up on seasoned beef, shredded chicken, or even steak fajita strips. Bonus points for crispy bacon bits.
• For the Vegans and Vegetarians: Skip the meat and go for beans, tofu, grilled veggies, and all the toppings. And best of all, guac is never extra here.
• For the Low Carb Crowd: Skip the chips and go straight for lettuce wraps or taco bowls loaded with toppings.
• For the Spice Enthusiasts: Build a mini hot sauce bar with different heat levels so people can take their tacos from mild to fire breathing dragon mode.
• For the Taco Bell Fans: Got someone in the group who swears by drive thru tacos? Give them nacho cheese, spicy ranch, and crunchy tostadas so they can recreate their fast food favorites.
Taco Table Night: A Ski Trip Essential
Ski trips, or any active group trip for that matter, burn a ton of calories, which means everyone comes back absolutely starving. Taco Table Night is the perfect way to refuel, relax, and hang out without anyone being stuck in the kitchen for hours.
It’s more than just a meal. It feels like a team dinner after a long day on the slopes. Everyone gets to pile on their favorite toppings, share stories from the mountain, and, if we’re not too full, maybe even play a game afterward.
And let’s be honest. Who doesn’t love getting stuffed on tacos, kicking back, and settling into that perfect post-ski food bliss?
Love and Light,
