What’s the difference between energy healing and mindfulness — and how do you know what your body really needs?
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that works by channeling universal life force energy into the body to support balance and nervous system regulation. It’s deeply restorative, subtle, and often felt as warmth, tingling, or emotional release. Sessions can be in-person or virtual and don’t require you to do anything other than be open to receiving.
Think of Reiki like plugging your nervous system into a charger. It helps clear stagnant energy and bring your system back to baseline.
What is Meditation?
Meditation is a mental practice that helps you train your attention and awareness. It’s usually done in silence, with breathwork, or guided visualizations. Over time, it builds cognitive resilience, inner stillness, and the ability to witness your thoughts without spiraling into them.
It’s like lifting weights for your mind. The more consistently you practice, the more mental clarity and presence you cultivate.
So which one do you need?
Ask yourself:
Do I feel overwhelmed, anxious, or energetically scattered?
Am I mentally exhausted or emotionally drained?
