Fire, Water, Air, Earth: The Elements of Seichem Explained
What each element feels like in a session and how they support your healing
How the Elements Move Through Seichem
Seichem is different from Reiki because it doesn’t just channel universal life force energy. It also brings in the four elements: fire, water, air, and earth. This creates a healing current that feels alive and multidimensional.
In a session, you might notice one element more strongly than another. Sometimes fire comes through with intensity, sometimes water flows in to soften emotions, sometimes air clears the mind, and sometimes earth grounds everything into place. Together they create a balanced flow that meets you exactly where you are.
Here’s what each element feels like and how it supports healing.
Fire
Fire is the energy of transformation. It burns through old patterns, stagnant energy, and anything that has been holding you back. Fire feels activating. It helps you step into empowerment, clarity, and forward movement.
People often describe warmth in their body during this part of the current, or a sense of something heavy being released.
Water
Water is the energy of emotions and intuition. It softens what has been held in and allows feelings to move in a safe and supported way. Water is connected to compassion, inner listening, and trust in your own guidance.
In a session, water might show up as tears flowing, a wave of calm, or a deep sense of being held with care.
Air
Air is the energy of clarity and inspiration. It clears the mind, uplifts, and brings lightness. Air helps quiet mental noise and opens space for visioning and intuitive insight.
People often feel a sense of spaciousness, an “aha” moment, or a gentle shift in perspective when air comes through strongly.
Earth
Earth is the energy of stability and grounding. It holds everything in place and helps you feel safe, strong, and rooted. Earth reminds you that you can handle what you are moving through.
In a session, earth energy might feel like sinking deeper into the table or floor, a steady calm in the body, or a stronger connection to your own inner foundation.
How the Elements Work Together
The beauty of Seichem is that the elements don’t show up alone. They weave together. Fire might spark a release, water helps it move, air brings clarity, and earth anchors it into your system.
Every session is different, and your body will draw in the elements it needs most. This is what makes Seichem feel so alive and responsive.
Experience the Elements Yourself
Reading about the elements gives you an idea of how they work, but Seichem is best understood through experience. If you’re curious, I offer sessions in Denver and Boulder, and virtually if you are not local. I also continue to support clients in New York, so wherever you are, this work is available.
